Each year our Savoir Faire Board chooses from a list of groups nominated by the membership, one non-profit organization that benefits women and/or children.

Throughout the year our Club endeavors to support this chosen organization both financially and by lending a helping hand when the need arises.

The Brenda Strafford Centre for the Prevention of Domestic Violence

The philosophy of The Brenda Strafford Centre is to promote self-confidence and independence. The residents are encouraged to attend counselling sessions, with the ultimate goal being to empower the women towards making positive life decisions.

The services of the Centre include:

• individual and family counselling
• children's couselling with the use of play and music
• support groups
• advocacy
• referrals
• recreational activities
